These terms govern your purchase and use of the self-guided puzzle walks sold on this site (the “walks”), operated by Santosh G. Hegde, trading as DejaClue City (“we”, “us”). By buying or playing a walk you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not purchase.
What you’re buying
A walk is a digital product: a self-guided trail of puzzles you play on your own phone, on foot, at real locations in the named city. One ticket entitles one team of up to five players to play the named walk once. Directions, puzzles and hints are delivered to your device as you progress.
Price and payment
Prices are shown in Indian Rupees (INR) and are inclusive of all applicable taxes (GST). The price is per team, not per person. Payment is collected by our payment provider; we never see or store your card details.
Getting access
After payment we email you a private link and a short code to start your walk. Access is granted when we receive confirmation of payment, which is normally instant. See our Delivery policy for timing and how to resume on another device, and our Cancellation & Refunds policy for cancellations.
Validity
An unused ticket is valid for 90 days from purchase. Once you begin the walk, you have 7 days to finish it. These windows are shown at checkout and in your ticket email.
Playing safely — your responsibility
You play in the real world, at your own risk. You are responsible for your own safety and that of your team: obey traffic signals and local laws, respect the sites and people around you, mind your surroundings rather than your screen, and do not enter restricted or unsafe areas. The walk is a leisure activity, not a race. We are not responsible for injury, loss or damage arising from how you choose to walk the route.
- Some stops are at monuments or public buildings with their own rules and opening hours; follow them.
- Do not trespass, damage property, or disturb anyone to solve a puzzle — no answer requires it.
- Adults are responsible for any minors in their team.
Acceptable use
Your ticket, link and code are for your team’s personal use. Please don’t share, resell, or publicly post the puzzle content, answers, or your access link. We may revoke access that is shared or abused.
Availability and changes
Real-world sites change — a landmark may close or a route may need adjusting. We may update a walk’s content or, rarely, pause a walk. If we withdraw a walk you have bought but not yet started, you’re entitled to a refund under our Refunds policy.
Intellectual property
The walks, their puzzles, text, artwork and branding are our intellectual property and are licensed to you for personal play only.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to a walk is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and disputes are subject to the courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka.
